PEN Survey - Summer 2007

We Want Your Opinion! Public Education Northeast (PEN) is attempting to better understand what school programs and off erings are important to parents, students, and the community of northeast Minneapolis. Ideally, we wish to collect opinions from as many parents of students and other stakeholders in the northeast corridor, including current Minneapolis Public School (MPS) parents as well as parents of children who have chosen other schools. We wish to ascertain the reasons for how you make decisions about your child’s education. The MPS school board is in the process of completing a strategic planning process which will allow them to shape the direction of all schools. How do we wish to shape the schools in the northeast community? That’s why your input is crucial! Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and return it to the address printed below. Another option is to complete the survey and return it to one of the various park centers or other neighborhood locations (e.g., Eastside Food Coop) in northeast (look for a box: “PEN Survey” on it). Your responses are confi dential and will be reported in a group/aggregate format. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact Dean DeGroot at 612-789-9596.
