This event marks a great step forward for the entire community. Thanks to dogged work, a spirit of cooperation, and some ingenious financing, a run-down property and chronic scene of dangerous activities (directly across the street from Edison High!) is being transformed into a beautiful, completely remodelled home. The Holland Neighborhood Improvement Association has not only spearheaded this project, but also catalyzed support within the community and among policy makers. On this evening, a crew of workers assembled and pitched in to paint, scrape, and work on the exterior. Media coverage included local cable television and Fox-9 News. State Rep. Diana Loeffler and Sen. Larry Pogemiler dropped by and picked up a paint brush. Lots of kids were on hand and the entire evening had a magical quality - enhanced (no doubt) by two pitchers of beer (thanks Scully!). This property represents a great opportunity for anyone looking for an affordable, quality home in a great location with wonderful neighbors.
